Dogwood Garden Club to Host Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall

Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall presents Native Edible Plants You Can Grow in Your Garden

Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall will be the guest speaker at the April Dogwood Garden Club meeting.** During her presentation, “Native Edible Plants You Can Grow in Your Garden,” she will introduce approximately 20 native edible plants, including fruits, greens, tubers, and herbs.

Dr. Navarrete-Tindall will provide information on identifying the plants, their growing requirements, and when to harvest. She will also share some recipes and will have preserved and fresh samples on display.

Join Dr. Navarrete-Tindall and the Dogwood Garden Club on Wednesday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will start at Noon. Attendees are welcome to bring a sack lunch with them.

The Dogwood Garden Club meets on the second Wednesday of every month, usually at 11:30 a.m. at the Camdenton Library.

The Garden Club designed and planted the garden at the Camdenton Library in 2007. and updates and maintains it.

Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall is an Associate Professor and Native Plants Specialist at the Lincoln Cooperative Extension in Jefferson City, MO.
