Strawberry DNA Extraction Lab
All living organisms have DNA in their cells. And each of those cells has an exact copy of the DNA inside. This is known as a genome. Scientists study and use DNA to make new medicines, modify crops to make them more pest-resistant, solve crimes, and more. Join Leslie Mott from the University of Missouri Extension office to learn more about DNA and how to extract it from strawberries at the Camdenton Library on Thursday, July 22 at 11 a.m. This program is intended for ages 9 and up.
